Yoga with Justine: a Slow Flow YinYasa

July 24 at 8:00 am-9:00 am

Wednesdays, 8-9am
July 24th – September 11th
Drop-ins welcome!
Single sessions sliding scale $10 to $20

In these 60-minute classes, we blend 2 equal and opposite yoga styles into 1 practice. Experience a more active Slow Flow Vinyasa and the still and cooling practice of Yin.  Working both muscles and connective tissues, this class promotes overall balance and well-being.  Movement and heat building of your body will be met by observance and release. Open to all levels of practice, you will need a yoga mat.  (we have some extras at the club if you need to borrow one) Yoga blocks and a strap are highly recommended, though not necessary.  Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothes/athletic wear that promote movement and breathing. Don’t forget your water bottle 🙂

Yoga classes are on a sliding scale of $10-$20 and can be paid in cash or venmo to Justine at the beginning of each class.  No pre-registration is required and you do not need to register for the entire series- drop-in when you want!

About Justine:

Justine is a skilled and intuitive teacher. She has over 10 years of yoga teaching experience and over 15 years in the holistic health and wellness industry overall. She has taught in many capacities in and around Center City Philadelphia in studios and for non-profit organizations.  She is trained is various styles of yoga ranging from Power Vinyasa, Yoga Sculpt, SUP Yoga, Hot Vinyasa to Slow Flow Vinyasa, Hot Power Fusion Hatha and Yin.  In her personal practice, she has a deep reverence for traditional Hatha practices and studies Ashtanga, Bikram, Iyengar, Yin, Kundalini and Pranayama. Her unique teaching style reflects her own practice.

In addition to her in-studio teaching experience, she has taught at festivals like Wanderlust and NamasDay, was invited to teach on national and international retreats, and worked with professional athletes, musicians and actors. Justine has collaborated in creating many programs, workshops, and teacher training programs over the years with leaders in the Philadelphia yoga community, as well as, Holistic Health professionals.

Ultimately, she aspired to open her own studio, which she did in September of 2018. Through her studio, Yoga Brain East Falls, Justine created community, mentored teachers, and created her own brand and programs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Justine closed her studio with a heavy heart in the summer of 2020, after only 18 months of operations. She has since focused on her private students in addition to working in marketing.

Her focus in teaching is breath-centered, introspective, and challenging.  Her music choices are moving and her choreography is holistic.  Her classes are designed to nourish the practitioner, honor the body, and still the soul. She is excited to return to the studio and see what her future in teaching yoga may hold.  Visit www.JustineBacon.co and follow her @justinebaconyoga on IG to learn more about Justine and her offerings.
