WE LIVE ON is a benefit concert series for longtime Philly music promoter and supporter., Derek Dorsey.
The Philadelphia music community has turned out for numerous concerts to support Derek as he battles a rare neurological disorder.
The December 13th concert at The Fallser Club has an exciting diverse lineup featuring:
OOLALA
OOLALA is a band that travels on gravity and is, therefore, unbound in its cosmological studies of the universe through ROCKROLL. Free to experience all points in space, all forms of energy, all states of matter, and all times in time, fully and simultaneously, their vibrations are the stuffs from which everything is made and un-made. Led by spiritual advisor Rumi Kitchen, the grouping spawns a GOLDEN EGG and gifts it to the audience at every performance.

Cadre Noir
We like to think our foundation is hip hop and we combine that feel with elements of jazz, rock, 70s soul and even bossa nova.

The Donuts
The Donuts, Philadelphia’s premier pub rock outfit, formed in 2001 after meeting at an AC/DC show. They have since released six critically acclaimed albums and shared stages with Richard Lloyd (ex-Television), the Plimsouls, and the Flaming Groovies among others. In 2018, they performed Rockpile’s legendary Seconds of Pleasure lp in its entirety and, since then, have composed answer songs to the Rockpile originals, calling the project The Pleasure of Seconds, which will be released in longplaying form in 2025 on Chapter 7 Records. The Donuts were recently called “a band to watch” in Playgirl magazine and are presently in the midst of their SABOD FY25 World Tour ™.

Dave Cope
Dave Cope is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer with deep roots in the Philadelphia music scene. Creating in a wide range of genres including power pop, folk, R&B and classical, he has amassed a catalog of over six hundred songs and compositions.
As a gigging and session musician, Cope has collaborated with many heavy hitters in the Philadelphia area and beyond including Ron Aikens, Alec Ounsworth, Andres Villamil, Fred Berman, Santigold, Eric Bazilian, Henry Hirsch, Tony Reyes, John Byrne and Jude Flannery. His ability to synthesize various disparate stylistic elements, providing beautiful music based on his client’s needs in a timely, professional and stress free manner has inspired one colleague to compare his abilities to that of a living, breathing Chat GPT, generating copious tailor made content on command but with a singular human touch rarely if ever found in the workings of a machine.
In recent years Cope has been releasing albums under the name Dave Cope and the Sass with the help of drummer Fred Berman and co-producer Andres Villamil. His 2022 power pop release “Julee” was highly reviewed by many blogs and publications, being awarded the number one spot on David Bash’s International Pop Overthrow best of list for that year. You can find hard copies of many of his releases on the Kool Kat Music label.
