The Love-In, Mind Wipes, and Twin Princess

May 23 at 8:00 pm-10:30 pm

$15.00

The Love-In

The LoveIn is a Nashville-based indie band consisting of Laurel Sorenson, Theo King, and Michael Rasile. The band formed in 2016, and since then have honed their genre-bending arrangements to present Sorenson’s incisive lyrical observations and powerful vocals with a chest-out vulnerability towards relationships, racial identity, sex, and culture.

Their new album Revel (produced by Tone Def) is a concept record that uses The LoveIn’s signature combination of memorable melodies, irresistible grooves, and lush soundscapes to create a glamorous world of fantasy. Revel yanks the listener from dreams to reality and back again, until the two are indistinguishable.
This cinematic approach to music has landed The LoveIn a variety of synch placements, including the use of their songs “Revel,” “As it Lays,” “America,” and “Freedom of Sexpression,” by Fox Sports. While their recorded music is painstakingly crafted, The LoveIn’s live performances contain all of the spontaneity one could want in a rock show. It’s rollicking and raw, tender and touching, and certainly not one to miss.

Mind Wipes

Mindwipes, a four-piece alternative rock band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, finds its
origins in the verdant hills of Chester County, PA, where lifelong friends Cameron Schultz and
Michael Rogers bonded over their shared love for classic and contemporary rock. Inspired by
iconic influences like The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, Green Day, Arctic Monkeys and Muse,
the duo formed the band during their high school years.
When Schultz left for Arizona State University, his musical journey continued, leading him to
collaborate with fellow musician Scott Dabundo in the collegiate, indie band Yard Art. Reuniting
back home in 2019, Schultz, Rogers, and Dabundo recorded their debut project, “Out of the
Ordinary” was released in January 2020 amid the global pandemic.
Undeterred by challenges, Mindwipes regrouped in Philadelphia during the pandemic,
welcoming bassist Tommy Oliver into the fold. With renewed focus, they honed their craft
through live performances in the northeast while diligently working on their upcoming album.
The band’s musical evolution was showcased with the release of their new singles, “Originally”
in October 2023 and “Buy Your Way Back” in April 2024, both recorded at Headroom Studios,
displaying their penchant for dynamic and cinematic rock arrangements.

With their galvanizing mantra,  “When lobotomies are hard to find, come and let us wipe your
mind, ” Mindwipes continues to enthrall audiences with their enrapturing blend of prog rock,
indie, and post-punk. Anticipating a milestone year, the band is set to release their debut LP in
the Fall of 2024.
