Mums the Word
Mums The Word is a 9-piece, funky psychedelic rock-and-roll band from Philadelphia and South Jersey. Mums just released their 3rd album “Mums the World” on Dec. 30th 2023. Their music pulls inspiration from The Grateful Dead, Parliament Funkadelic, and Frank Zappa. Comprised of percussionists, bass, guitars, keys, horns, and vocal harmonies, they create a rich texture of sound! Psychedelic and funky, they play their own style of Rock ‘n’ Roll blended with improvisational elements to create a unique live experience. Upbeat and groovy with their kosmic dancer, elaborate costumes, and by regularly inviting musical guests on stage, they keep the crowd on their feet, on their toes, and always moving!

Morel
Morel began in Kutztown, Pennsylvania in 2015. Guitar player Will Gardiner and drummer Brett Flynn met during an epic kitchen jam session in the infamous neighborhood, the Cliffs! The two formed a quick bond. Will’s smooth soaring guitar with Brett drumming in perfect patterns. As the two kept working on their craft, it was Will who first started playing gigs. Originally playing as a solo musician, Will charmed large crowds with his abilities to loop and improvise.
Eventually, Brett started playing with Will at his gigs and that is when the hunt for the other Morels began. The band had a couple of auditions but when they foraged bass player, Brad Herring, and guitar player, Matt Vitali, that is when they started to grow. Morel then began to take their true honeycomb form. Dazzling local audiences and making a name for themselves in other communities.
Come on out to forage some delectable live music and get your groove on with Morel!
