The Peace Creeps is the current musical project featuring former A’s captivating frontman Richard Bush. Richard and his A’s were the darlings of Philly in the ‘70s and early ‘80s and had the hits “After Last Night” and “A Woman’s Got The Power”, which was later recorded by both Clarence Clemons and Jennifer Holliday. They released two albums on Arista Records and toured nationally, but they disbanded due to disputes with their record company. After that Bush had a few other bands and then took a long hiatus to write and record. Finally, along with guitarist John Marchiano, bassist Roy Fisher and drummer Jeff Pancoast, The Peace Creeps were born. Bush and songwriting partner, AJay McLaughlin’s clever lyricism, along with their Elvis Costello–like wit, Faces–like looseness and the pop sensibilities of the Beatles are reasons for their appeal.

The Good Problems

The Good Problems are a seven-member band incorporating players from several seminal Philly groups. (KFloor, Love Syndicate, Stargazer Lily, Mike Pfeiffer and The Associates) Songwriter, Stephan Hayes sings and plays acoustic guitar backed by Chris Schutz and Mike Wexler on drums and bass, Mia Johnson on vocals and percussion, Matt Hayes on lead guitar, and Erin Ryan and Dave Gregorio on cello and fiddle. Hayes’ rhythmic lyrical style and acoustic wall of sound created by the multipart harmonies and string section create their unique sound. They released their first album “Dirty Beauty” in 2008. The House of Soul and Bone was recorded in 2011 but remained unreleased until 2023. The band was on an extended hiatus when Hayes lived abroad. They got back together and wrote a new song in late March 2020 and then, well you know. In 2023 they recorded EP23, a three-song internet-only collection that will be added to in 2024.
