Midnight Dispatch is a rock band blending old-school rock n’ roll soul with a decidedly modern edge. The band was born in a Philadelphia basement when keyboardist and vocalist Eoin “Limpin’ Lemon Lincoln” Kelly, guitarist and vocalist Zack Krall, and bassist Yoren Maniquis gathered for a casual jam session. Each hailing from different corners of Philly’s vibrant music scene, there was no plan, just a shared passion for raw, untamed sound. The lineup was complete with the addition of drummer JLamar’s bombastic beats and gospel chops.
Bringing together blues, funk, and hard rock, with a dose of psychedelia, Midnight Dispatch channels the very essence of the city; gritty but beautiful, aggressive but soulful. With powerful vocals from both Krall and Kelly, soaring guitars, driving drums, thumping bass lines, and organ that howls like a midnight train, Midnight Dispatch delivers a sound that pulses with the heart of the streets and the soul of the midnight hour.
The outfit has come out swinging, playing electrifying shows to fans and new listeners alike and bringing their raw emotion to anyone willing to listen. Their debut single, “Scared (What This Could Have Been),” was released on April 26, 2024, and it was followed up by “I Am The Moon” – JLamar’s recorded debut – on September 20, 2024.
