Kate Gaffney

Mingling Americana and jam band sensibilities with the Folk traditions of the 60s and 70s, Kate
Gaffney brings honest vulnerability and poetic grace to songs that groove with funk & soul. Kate
honed her skills in her native Philadelphia and toured from coast to coast, laying musical roots in
Northern California before returning home to Pennsylvania. Kate has opened for touring acts like
Richie Havens, Todd Snider, and Sophie B. Hawkins, and has released four albums: most
recently, Here by the Ocean, a collaboration with longtime Philly friends Andrew Lipke and
Chris Kasper.
