Interminable

Interminable is a Philly-based futuristic fusion project that explores our connections as diasporic peoples through original music in Spanish and English, weaving together the common threads of improvisation and swing from Mexican traditional son jarocho music, jazz, rock, funk, and electronic music.

This innovative tapestry of sounds is expressed through the band’s unique combination of instruments.  Ximena Violante (Vivir QuintanaRenee Goust) sings and plays the electric guitar and jarana, a guitar-like instrument from the afroindigenous son jarocho tradition of Mexico.  Marty Gottlieb-Hollis (Martronimous) on trumpet and St. Clair Simmons on trombone join forces as a horn section.  Matt Jernigan on drums and Yeho Bostick (Circadian RhythmsDarlingtyn) on bass solidify the rhythmic backbeat.

Born out of a chance encounter on the train in 2015 which led to their debut a week later, opening for nationally-renowned cumbia group, Viento Callejero, the band has amassed an impressive portfolio, sharing stages with nationally- and internationally-recognized acts including La Santa CeciliaRadio JarochoMare Advertencia LirikaDJ PrecolumbianJarana BeatLady Moon & The Eclipse, and Moor Mother.

Their debut album, rebirth::renacer, was released in November of 2018, bringing together musicians from across the US and Mexico.  You can listen or download at their bandcamp or Spotify, or check out the video for Preludio + El Agua, featuring indigenous Zapoteca rapper Mare Advertencia Lirika.

Honeychile

Under the moniker of Honeychile, Philly-based musician, singer, and songwriter Becca Graham explores themes of identity, relationships, and coming-of-age by taking on the roles of a hip-hop emcee and a jazz diva. With a mix of humor, vulnerability, and sass, Honeychile wishes to challenge listeners’ perceptions of the Black musical canon, following in the footsteps of giants past and present.

 DJ Delish

DJ Delish [Khadijah] is a powerhouse producer and DJ redefining the sound of the underground. Hailing from Philadelphia and raised in Richmond, she fuses ballroom, house, hip-hop, gospel, and club into a genre-bending experience rooted in Black and Trans joy. With over a decade of experience [12 years to be exact], her electrifying sets pulse with raw emotion and excitement, meshed with bold rhythm and an authentic underground essence, unseen since the early 2000s. She is also a key figure in the ballroom scene’s soundscape and she commands dance floors with both gag-worthy track selections and overall down-to-earth presence, turning every DJ set into a statement. Whether shaking national festivals or creating anthems that echo through the streets of cities she’s never been [yet], DJ Delish isn’t just playing music—she’s shaping the future of queer black nightlife, one beat at a time.
