Waverly Alston & The Black Breath Collective

Waverly Alston, Jr. has served in music ministry for 25+ years. Waverly has worked consistently as a composer, director, arranger, and soloist. In 1999, he established “Waverly Alston in the Company of Friends” a group of his talented Friends who tour and provide music with a message. They have performed at The Annenberg Center for Performing Arts, Berks Jazz Festival, West Oak Lane Jazz Festival, FOX, Kimmel Center, Philadelphia Jazz Project, and numerous churches/venues along the east coast. Along with music, Waverly is personally dedicated to providing workshops for male engagement, which help urban males find alternatives to negative paths through self-awareness and healing. His community gospel music workshops involve re-engaging people in their love of singing and deepening their understanding of gospel music at its core. Additionally, Waverly serves as an outreach minister, ministry consultant, adjunct professor, and a trained master-level therapist. He is dedicated to working in music, social work, and human development. Waverly is always intentionally looking for opportunities to bring the healing elements of music, therapy, spirituality, and self-awareness into intersection.

Vincent Michael

Vincent Michael is a singer/songwriter residing in Philadelphia. The songs he performs combine calming vocals with beautiful moments of introspection overtop large anthemic choruses. His music draws inspiration from the likes of Chris Stapleton, Angel Olsen, and Bruce Springsteen. Vince started working on his debut album after being inspired by a summer in Montana living in Glacier National Park. The sonic world he creates mimics the wonder and awe of that special time in his life, and his live show seeks to transport the audience to the front row of that formative experience.

La Casa De

La Casa De draws their sound from 90’s hip hop with a splash of modern, drawing inspiration from bands like The Fugees and The Roots.

Chris Rafter

Chris Rafter is a singer and songwriter from outside of the Philadelphia. He’s a local favorite known for his honest and compelling lyricism, anthemic melodies, and on stage charisma.  His country, folk, and rock sound lends to stories about love, loss, chaos, the places he’s been, and the place he grew up in. He also hates the universally accepted language of artists bios. In fact, writing this one out felt like a knife in his heart, but the other option would be for someone else write it and make it cornier. So he chose the lesser of two evils.
