Every Heard
Every Heard (Ev Reheard) is a Korean-American singer-songwriter with a unique voice. Growing up listening to her father’s classic country and mother’s Korean ballads, Ev discovered her own style by learning how to play guitar at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, where she won an open mic contest in 2017. While she came to Philadelphia to earn her degree in Speech Language Pathology, she made it her home to become a full-time musician and teaching artist. Her music is the vehicle she found to speak candidly about her mental health. She now illustrates music theory in order to inspire others to process and express their inner journeys as well.
Hannah Bug
After a life of utilizing songwriting as a sacred and personal form of self-soothing therapy, singer-songwriter “Hannah Bug” has finally emerged out of her bedroom and onto the stages of Philly’s most exciting, bustling music spots. The past few months have marked her debut as a performer sharing her unrelenting vision and deeply intimate, intentional lyricism with an audience. Both a gifted storyteller and writer at heart, Hannah Bug’s blissfully soulful vocals and spellbinding melodies tap into an authentic indie-soul territory akin to the likes of Banks, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Carla Morrison. With her first single “Change of Scenery”— a hopefully lamenting offering of raw moodiness— just around the bend, the fresh and up-and-coming songstress is busy penning her own timeless records in the studio while uniquely and seamlessly carving a path for herself. Stay tuned for what’s next. You won’t want to miss it.
Sarah Madden
Sarah Madden is a Philly based singer songwriter with an emotive lyrical style and indie-folk feel to her music. She originates from the Florida/Georgia area, where she recently recorded her first EP with WBAZ Records, called “Therapy.” The first single from the EP, “Anxiety,” is deeply felt in its acoustic form, while angsty rock flares arise in other tracks such as “Melatonin.” She is currently working on an album, likely to be released this Fall. The album will lean more indie, while remaining anchored to the unrelentingly honesty that is the trademark of her songwriting.
