The Naked Sun

Known for their signature style of Americana with a cosmic twist, The Naked Sun will release their third full length album, Mirror in The Hallway, on January 30, 2026 and that evening, they will celebrate with a headlining show at The Fallser Club in their hometown of Philadelphia.

Mirror in the Hallway is a collection of 10 original songs that blend the band’s signature mixture of jangly guitars, storytelling lyrics, and cosmic textures into something equal parts dusty and psychedelic. Produced by Brian McTear and Amy Morrissey at Miner Street Recordings, the LP features the cinematic guitar work of Tim Cambell, the smooth and strong vocals of Drew Harris (guitar and vocals), percussion and keyboard work of Dylan Mulcahy, bass and backing vocalist Tom Tusler, and additional guitar textures from James Ashforth. It’s easy to imagine The Naked Sun on festival dates and supporting acts like The War on Drugs, Wilco, Neil Young or My Morning Jacket. “Dreamin’” follows singles “Mirror in The Hallway,” “Make Believe,” and “Witches,” all released in 2025.

“Recording this record took about three years — part scheduling, part writing, and part a promise we made to each other not to settle on anything,” says vocalist and guitarist Drew Harris. “If something didn’t sound the way we wanted it to, we had to find a way to make it sound right. Some songs were born years ago and reshaped as we grew — as people, as a band, and as writers. We didn’t set out to make a concept album, but somewhere along the way the songs started talking to each other. They became reflections of the same mirror, each one capturing a different version of who we are and what we’ve learned along the way.”

“I think that’s why we called it Mirror in the Hallway,” Harris continues. “Each song feels like passing another reflection — sometimes distorted, sometimes honest, sometimes hopeful. The record is about self-examination, about seeing who you were and who you’re becoming at the same time.”

“Co-Producer Amy Morrissey and my approach to recording The Naked Sun leaned heavily on the sounds as they naturally filled up the room at Miner Street, says co-producer Brian McTear. It made things beautifully cinematic at times, which, in turn, placed Drew’s voice in an almost surreal place. His lyrics often have an almost spiritual essence about them, so for me, it’s perfect the way the recording seems to enhance his pureness and honesty. I love it.”
