Maggie Mae

Maggie Mae is the Queen of funky female-fronted folk, soul, and rock & roll and a Philadelphia-based force to reckoned with. Combining genuine, heartfelt lyrics with catchy, cutting guitar riffs, her songs can either touch your soul or make you want to get up and dance.  She has been described as “poppy, polished, talented, & promising,” by XPN’s The Key’s John Vettese, and been noted for her ability to effortlessly blend genres, her bands’ tight musicianship, and their innovative covers (The Jamwich, 2019).

The band has been steadily making its way through the local jam, indie soul, and folk scenes, most notably having opened for bands like Soulive, The Heavy Pets, and Box of Rain. With singles like ‘Bridge of Avignon,’ ‘Ghost,’ and more on the way, Maggie Mae plans to release her debut album “Welcome to the Party!” in Spring of 2025.

Coop a Loop

Coop a Loop is the solo project of Philadelphia bass virtuoso Eric Cooper. After years of bringing tight bass and deep pocket playing to ensembles across Philly, Coop a Loop has brandished a looper and become the ensemble himself, maintaining a focus on melody and electronic bass guitar music that defies any expectation from a “looping bass player”.

Sure, you hear the hallmarks of contemporary bass-forward excellence: ultra-clean slap and double-thumb techniques, smooth and tight fingerstyle work, and enough funk to give anyone a serious case of Stank Face. Focus on that too much, however, and you might miss the driving rhythms, synthy laser beams, and ambient textures generated through a series of cleverly-utilized effects. Coop a Loop’s music is a blend of electronic, funk, jam, indie, and ambient music.

His sound is not only unique, but the visual aspect of watching loops being created and hearing these soundscapes take shape is exciting to witness, whether solo or with his band. Coop a Loop’s live performances are electric, igniting the crowd with high-energy grooves and irresistible rhythms that keep everyone dancing all night.

With a new album coming out in the Spring 2025, this year is shaping up to be the biggest year for Coop a Loop yet.
